About the role

Int this role, you'll be a part of our Underwriting team, which sits within the Operations Domain. This team focuses on a clear problem space within Qred's business, primarily managing the complex core function of credit decisioning. They are vital in our mission to automate and streamline the decision-making process for entrepreneurs seeking funding.

• Own the Core Decision Process: You will be instrumental in developing and optimizing Qred's proprietary credit assessment and decision systems. This work is at the heart of our operations and directly informs whether a loan is approved.

• Backend Development: This role leans into backend Node.js development and complex system integrations. You’ll be focused on improving efficiency and accuracy in data processing, leveraging our internal systems and integrating new data sources.

• End-to-End Responsibility: From initial idea to running the product in production, you and your team own the whole process. You'll design the infrastructure-as-code (IaC), write the tests, deploy the service, and ensure high-quality observability.

• Experience in writing, releasing, and maintaining web applications, preferably with Node.js, React, and AWS.
• You embrace end-to-end ownership and take responsibility for your contributions. You are pragmatic, hands-on, and always seek to keep it simple.
• You're energized by a fast-moving workplace and approach work with a positive, flexible attitude and strong team spirit.
• You naturally challenge the way things are done. You view setbacks as opportunities to learn and improve, and you value sharing best practices with your team.
