With bold growth plans and strong momentum across multiple markets, we’re now looking for a Credit Officer - German Speaking for the next phase of growth.

About the Role

As a Credit Officer, you will bridge the gap between automated risk assessment and high-stakes financial decision-making across seven markets. You will take full ownership of complex credit cases, providing the technical expertise necessary to scale our lending operations while maintaining portfolio quality. This mission-oriented role is central to refining our credit-focused projects and ensuring our underwriting teams excel.

Key responsibilities

• Decide on large or complex credit applications for our German-speaking markets in accordance with established credit policies.

• Support country-specific underwriters by providing expert guidance, feedback, and necessary documentation triggers to ensure well-founded decisions.

• Identify and implement improvements within our credit assessment strategies to optimize risk-adjusted returns.

• Drive internal and external projects aimed at enhancing credit decisioning frameworks and operational efficiency.

• Translate portfolio insights into actionable feedback for our engineering teams to further develop the Qred Scoring Algorithm (QSA).

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a professional with a structured, analytical mindset who thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment. You should have the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and the motivation to build scalable frameworks that support our rapid expansion. You value precision and are comfortable navigating regulated environments without the weight of traditional banking bureaucracy.

Qualifications

• A few years of experience within underwriting or credit analysis, preferably within the German or Austrian financial markets.

• Strong proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.

• Deep understanding of financial documentation, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and general accounting principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.

• Basic SQL skills or project management experience is considered an advantage.

One Last Thing

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our headquarters in Stockholm. While we encourage a hybrid setup, we do expect you to be at least three days per week at the office.
